The Deatharra Age – The Second Age

This Second Age of Men and Magic was rather a dark time for Humanity, Magic and learning.

As is with the First Age, there are stories here, Low-born heroes that did good things, these too I should record one day. Even though it was tainted by the previous war, the Second Age had some good things that came from it. Since Magic was outlawed mostly, medicine advanced more than in the past as cures were sought that were previously healed by Magic.

The Deatharra Age

Magic was not heard of much in this age. Non-Magic peoples ruled themselves and if any were found to be “of Magic” they were outcast or killed. After the War of the Lowborn societies advanced slowly. Technology barely moved, learning almost ceased. People learned by word of mouth for writing was considered “Magic” by some and frowned upon. But just as life cannot be extinguished completely, neither could Magic.

Over time more and more Magic-born found themselves outcast and they formed their own cities and had their own children and many were born a part of Magic or that could touch it. Time progressed and Magic again began to flourish in the world. Progress happened, technology moved again, and ushered in the Third Age of Men and Magic known as the Corvarix Age.

It is in the Corvarix Age that most of our stories happen. Stories of the two brothers, Warren and Boon, Low-born but adventurous, fearless for they faced the Necromancer of Kell. Stories of Owain Mirthbourne and how he faced the Grand Magus of the Red Mountains after being stripped of his Magical ability. But foremost is Tabitha Millhouse, the Earth Mother.

Is there enough time?

Is there enough time for me to write all of these stories? To do them justice in the retelling. Well I hope so. I hope to bring them all to life so that you know the history. Important history. These events shaped the world and purchased time for humanity to get it. Just when the Earth seems on the brink of collapse a hero steps up to save the day. They deserve to be known and heard.
