The worlds we live in

As a fantasy author, you basically create a world for your characters to interact in. Unlike urban fantasy, or thrillers, or horror, which can take place in our known world, epic fantasy, high fantasy, sword and sorcery, any of these, you have to create the world. To keep things from getting crisscrossed in my head I created some maps of Tabitha’s world. One of these I redid on a map making website and fleshed out the kingdoms and villages. One of them I did on a website that offers map creation but it is simpler and was before the current software I am using came out. The others I did in Powerpoint. So these other maps are not as artistic and I will redo them at some point to where they are prettier.

Tabitha’s world is our world, our earth, as you might say. But it is a forgotten age, when our world did not have it’s current landscape. It is called the Corvarix Age. I hope you enjoy them. I love maps myself. Click on the maps for the larger easier to read version.

Let’s start with Kedgewich

Lord Eldwin Drake is from there and Tabitha’s parents are as well. The top of the map is labeled with Corvarix on it as it denotes the age in which it was created. It is a land divided into three areas. Two kingdoms and the Eastern Wastes.

Finavoré

The second map is where Tabitha’s father fled and raised her. She has little memory of Kedgewich.

Realm of Fionna Tìr – The Kingdom of Havenfurst

Last but not least, those who have read the books know about this place. Please note this is not a map of Havenfurst from Tabitha’s time but from before, during Ameline’s time, because I created this map to write Shadows of Wychering. This land is called Fionna Tír.

The Realm of Stridhgrad

There are three kingdoms here, Skeggland, Dubgramr, and Fjolkgard. Baba from the Bloodstone Reckoning is from Fjolkgard. The Mist Witch of Dreydark Forest takes place in Fjolkgard in the small village of Kalastad.

As I said these last three are not as well done especially this last one and for that I apologize and hope to get them redone soon.

(Note: I have begun to update the maps. More areas more details, COLOR! There is also a brief history of these places that I will post as well.)

I hope you enjoy them. Let me know!
